French
The General French course taken as summer courses at CCFS offers a comprehensive and flexible learning experience, available in one-month or three-month packages. From Monday to Friday, this formula includes several language lessons per week, covering essential aspects such as grammar, conjugation, spelling, vocabulary, analysis of literary texts, as well as written and oral exercises
In addition, students benefit from phonetics lessons which improve both their pronunciation and their oral comprehension.
The civilization option is a valuable addition, offering full access to workshops and conferences on French culture. These daily sessions cover a variety of subject areas, such as literature, lifestyle, arts, language, current affairs, and are aimed at all levels. This course format is ideal for those looking for complete immersion in the French language and culture, while having the possibility of choosing between training durations of one month or three months. The general French summer course includes 12.5 hours of weekly lessons
The Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne also offer intensive French summer courses: over a period of one month or three months, students follow 25 hours of lessons per week here which allow them to deepen their mastery of French language.
Business French
This language course is designed to strengthen the linguistic skills of international students, focusing on the specific use of French in the business context. The levels and needs of the class group are taken into account, which makes it possible to personalize teaching according to individual goals. Key areas covered include professional speaking, encompassing job interviews, annual reviews, meetings and telephone interviews, as well as professional writing, which includes writing CVs, cover letters, administrative emails , reports and summary notes. In addition, students have the opportunity to analyze articles from the economic and professional press, which strengthens their understanding of vocabulary and key concepts in the business world.
The teaching approach is rooted in practical communication and focuses on linguistic structures relevant to the business world. Students are encouraged to actively participate through a variety of activities, including classroom scenarios and simulations. This promotes an immediate application of newly acquired skills in professional scenarios, thereby strengthening students’ confidence in their ability to thrive in a French-speaking environment.
Learning business French has multiple advantages for international students.
